Christmas in London!

Christmas was spent in London with family and friends!

Turkey with all trimmings, Christmas pudding and presents on Christmas Day!
Fun and interesting to experience Christmas in a different way, a really good way I think!

Snow!

The world is white and wonderful! It's quiet and don't feel gloomy outside!

The snow is here to stay for a while!

Today its Saint Lucy's Day!

By tradition I started the day early watching Saint Lucy (Lucia) on TV.

Later today we are going to the Ericsson Globe to watch the worlds largest Lucia concert!
I few years back I participate in this concert and its kind of a tradition to go every year.

Yesterday we were out to dinner with friends and afterwards, when talking a walk in Stockholm city, it started to snow!

Is official: it's Christmas!

Its nice to relax in the couch after a long day!

Music, candles and good company makes it even better!

Time to celebrate!

Two days of work, work, wok and some shopping! We finished the shopping today, a cause for celebration! :-)

Next stop is the wrapping of the gifts, my favourite thing about giving gifts! Fun paper and nice bows, lots of different ways to create a really nice gift!

More Christmas shopping!

Day 3 of shopping gifts!
Was hoping to be finished by now, but I still need 2 more gifts. Actually 3, but the last one is not a Christmas present.
Can't order the 2 remaining gifts, they need to be "hand-picked" from the store. Something to do after work this week!

Christmas shopping

Almost done with all the presents for Christmas!
Yesterday was first day of the gathering of gifts from store.Today the second and I think we might wrap-it-up tomorrow and I'm not even going to leave the couch!

Shopping from the comfort of my home is the best kind of shopping!

Nice Sunday!

Spend most of the day with mum and Zamba, hanging out and eating lots of good food!

Lights in windows!

It's about this time of year when swedes put different lamps in there windows! The lamps are shaped like stars, angles or electrical candlesticks.

Why?
It's dark and cold and we need light! Oh, and its the first of Advent tomorrow!

Today is the day of French wine and cheese!

Magnus and I are going to Grand Hotel in Stockholm to taste wine and cheese! This will be a good day! :-)

No more house!

As of Monday we dont own a house in Linköping any more! No more cutting of the lawn!

Cheese weekend!

Visited Linköping yesterday to finished of stuff around the house before the new owners get access.

Then we bought cheese, lots and lots of cheese! We visited to "our" cheese-shop and went berserk!
Two bags of cheese later we stopped and bought some more cheese in the street market! :-)

Weather, it sucks

It feels like autumn in Stockholm, about +10-12 Celsius, rain and wind.

Please get warmer and sunnier soon! I'm longing to spend beautiful summer evenings by the water in Stockholm!

Jobreport

Last day of first week on new job! It has been a bit crazy, but really fun!

This weekend!

Spent yesterday with my mother by the sea, celebrating mothers day one day early. A perfect day in the sun!

Today has been a "doing stuff in the apartment" and "getting ready for work" day. Both Magnus and I start work tomorrow, feels great but a little nervous.

New job, new phone!

I got myself a new job! It happened really fast and I still cant believe its true, but I start on Monday! :-)

Partly to celebrate and partly because I need one, I bought a new cellphone yesterday! Is still trying to get to know my phone, such a happy problem!

My cousin became a father yesterday! Lots an lots of love and happiness to you, wife and twins!

New windows

Today we are getting new windows in the apartment.
We had hoped they would have changed the windows before we moved in, but no. The doorbell rang 7:14 am this morning, this will be a tired day!

First night!

Spent the night in new apartment and slept really good!
I like this apartment and area we live in a lot!

More moving

We booked the movers a while back and a few minutes ago I talked to the cleaning-guy!

Yes, we are going to pay someone else to move our stuff and clean the house and it feels Great!!!

And on that note, back to the packing of the stuff.

Moving update!

We sold the house after the second showing!
And now we have entered the age of the moving-boxes. There's a lot of stuff, thus a lot of boxes!

We are moving from 4 bedrooms to 2 bedrooms, witch means we need to get rid of a lot of furniture and things we don't need. I think this is going great!

Selling house

First showing of the house today and a good turnout! Next showing is on Tuesday, but we hope the bidding will start tomorrow.

Really exited, but a bit nervous, we like this house and hope someone else will like as much.

Easter project

We have the habit to work on a project during Easter. The project this year is "The great move".

As I wrote, last week, we are moving! In a little bit more then a month we commence " The great move" from Linköping to Stockholm, the Swedish capital.

We have already started the project of selling the house and bought a flat in Stockholm. Next weekend we will have the pleasure of having people walking around in the house looking and , hopefully, wanting to buy it!

This brings us to our activities for today, cleaning out stuff that we wont bring to Stockholm.
Most of it was junk but a lot of stuff ended up in a big container for The Salvation Army.

It feel good to clean out stuff that's just lying around!

Sunny walk

Zamba and I just got in from a long walk around the neighbourhood. Its Easter break this week, thus a lot of people out and about. This is not amusing Zamba, she is a bit of a coward and would prefer to walk around by herself and no one else around. Well a bird or two is just fine!

Now she is sleeping on my desk, but if I leave my chair she will come running after me asking: Is it time to play now, please?

Moving house!

This past week has been crazy! But now everything is falling in place, we are moving in the near future!

Sunny Tuesday

Yesterday was chilling day with Zamba! And I spent the afternoon walking in the cold, just for the fun of it.....

I've spent this morning entertaining Zamba, a walk, some time brushing and a nice snooze!
This afternoon its time to visit with grandma! Just me, Zamba is staying home!

Oh no! Snow!

Yesterday it was spring, today its winter again. Well its snowing anyway.

This is typical Mars/April weather, so I shouldn't be surprised.
But its the same every year, when you get a taste of spring, its a really surprising setback when it snows the next day.

Friday!

It's been this kind of week were nothing really inspiring happens. It has been a nice week, but nothing really to write about.

The tulip-bud are happy about the sun, and so am I!
Think I'm going to spend some time in the garden tomorrow, preparing for spring!

Sunny start!

The sun was shining this morning, this I like! Sadly it disappeared after a short while, but it got me out of bed!

Today has been about talking to people, sorting stuff out at home and making Falukorv for lunch!

I've spent a big part of my afternoon in front of my computer, Piglet, taking a course, organised by my union. I think it is really useful to know basic things about laws and ragulations which controls the workplace.

Depressing weather

I miss the sun today. The snow has melted away and this makes it grey and depressing outside.

And it's not only the missing sun that's making me feel depressed, there is not much colour outside anywhere. The branches look naked and grey and the flowerbeds are longing for colourful flowers.

I don't care much about days with this kind of weather.

Tulip buds in the snow

The tulips are starting to show in the flowerbed outside my window. It must be a sign of spring, but spring is no were to be found today.
The clouds started building up this morning and by late afternoon is was snowing.

I hope it will snow a bit more, then the snow becomes sort of a blanket for the tulip buds and I don't have to be worried about them caching a cold.
